A group of students in Munich, Germany, have designed a dartboard you can’t miss.
Using optical tracking technology and high speed motor controllers, their dartboard moves at up to 20g’s to always put the Bull in front of an oncoming dart!
The project used two digital video cameras and mechanical actuators, teamed up with a computer using high-speed parallel processors to track the dart and quickly move the dartboard into position.
The no-miss dartboard was a joint project of the Technical University of Munich and ITQ GmbH.
