The original manufacturer of Bristle Dartboards was the Nodor Company, of England. For many years the other major dartboard manufacturer was the Winmau Dartboard Company.

In the last couple of decades, several companies have merged or been purchased, to form the current Brackla-Nodor company, which now produces both Nodor and Winmau Dartboards.

Another line of high quality bristle dartboards is produced by Puma Darts, in New Zealand.  They are the originators of the popular Bandit Bristle Dartboard.

A variety of companies in Asia also produce bristle dart boards for steel-tip darts use.
